About me, Rusty!

after3.jpgI am a great little dog who lives with his human mom and dad in Texas. My job is to keep the backyard a squirrel free zone. That’s a hard job, they just won’t listen to me. I want to talk about my life and make friends! Read my first post to know more about me.

As of April the 2nd, 2008 I was two years old. I’ve had many adventures this year. I got to see and chase ducks, I met my human nephew and chased him. He chased me too. I made a LOT of bloggie friends. I’ve been camping in mom and dad’s camper and in a cabin at Robbers Cave State Park in Oklahoma. I even climbed up rocks to go to the cave. It’s been a great year!

On Oct. 4, 2008 I got a new baby brother named Riley. So far he is a mess and I’m not really sure mom made a good dedcision in getting him. We’ll see.

  1. my dog cody bear is responsible for making sure we’re free of squirrels as well. a very important job.

  2. What a cutie Rusty is!

Not sure how I feel about the squirrel chasin’ tho. I just spent all autumn journaling the progress of the squirrel pups in my poplar tree! (Sooo cute! And hilarious!)

  3. Okay. True confession. If I was a dog, I’d chase ’em too. Looks like fun!

  19. Hi, Rusty (and human momma)! Your brother-in-law, Carl, told me I should look at this wekbsite! Too cute! I had a “large” yorkie, Skeeter, for 8 years until he passed away during routine dental surgery (too much medication). I was heartbroken. I now have 3 doggie friends – Pearl (Rottweiller), Cowboy (English Bulldog), and Shadow (Snoopy-looking mutt). They’re all rescues and I just love, love, love all the dog stories and pictures. Thanks for brightening my day!

  20. I produce a dog video conversation and would like to know if you would post it on you blog. We have some great people involved (Dr. Robyn Barbiers from Anti-Cruelty Society, Bernie Berlin from A Place to Bark, Amelia Glynn from SF Chronicle). If you are interested in contributing to the show as a panelist, I would love to speak with you regarding that as well.

    Info:
The title of our video is – ‘What is Your Dog Breed Bias?’

The description is – ‘Is your childhood dog your favorite breed? Are you scared of pit bulls? Do you agree with the rest of America that the beagle is the best? Join our awesome team of dog bloggers in a conversation about your breed bias.’

My name is Tammy. I hope you don’t mind me commenting on your blog. I just wasn’t sure how else to reach you. I sincerely apologize if this comes across as spam, that is not the intent. With Christmas just around the corner, I thought you might be interested in our latest infographic “Are You A Doggie for Christmas Kind of Mom?”. You can view it at Flickr.com: http://www.flickr.com/photos/106131018@N08/11241972855/ (Preview) . FYI (in case you’re not familiar) Flickr.com is owned by Yahoo!. It’s a very safe site and won’t hurt your computer. To download the infographic right click on it and Flickr will show you some options.

If you like this infographic and want to share it with your readers, please feel free to do so. The only thing that we ask in return is that you link back to TheUncommonDog dot com in some way from your post.

As a way of showing our appreciation to those who choose to share the infographic, I’d be happy to spread the word about the blog post by linking to it from our Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages. Just let me know that you posted it and send me the link.
