The Wednesday Howl (Doggie Pledge)

  • I will not eat the cat’s food, before or after they eat it.

  • “Kitty box crunchies” are not food.

  • The computer’s mouse is, unlike a real mouse, inedible.

  • I will not eat the disposable diapers, especially the dirty ones.

  • I will not play tug o’ war with Dad’s underwear when he’s on the toilet.

  • I will not eat any more socks and then re-deposit them in the backyard after processing.

  • I will not chew my human’s toothbrush and not tell them.

  • I will not chew crayons or pens, especially the red ones, so my people will think I am dying.

  • I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc.

  • I will not wake Mommy up by sticking my cold, wet nose in her ear.

  • I will not burn rubber through the open car window and into the fast food restaurant, no matter how good it smells.

  • I will not throw up in the car.

  • I will not bite the officer’s hand when he reaches in for mom’s driver’s license and car registration.

  • When in the car, I will not insist on having the window rolled down when it’s raining outside.

  • I must shake the rainwater out of my fur “before” entering the house.

  • I will not drop soggy tennis balls in the underwear of someone who is sitting on the toilet.

  • I will not steal my Mom’s underwear and dance all over the back yard with it.

  • The sofa is not a face towel. Neither are Mom and Dad’s laps.

  • We do not have a doorbell. I will not bark each time I hear one on TV.

  • Ditto for door knocking

  • I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I’m lying under the coffee table.

  • My head does not belong in the refrigerator.

  • Ditto for our guest’s crotch.

  • I will not roll my toys behind the fridge.

  • The garbage collector is NOT stealing our stuff.

Kira’s Official Squirrel Patrol

kiras_squirrelpatrolCheck it out! Kira has invited me to become a member of her Official Squirrel Patrol! And Kira is now a member in good chasing of Rusty’s Squirrel Patrol!

Don’t you just love this award Kira gave me! I think with these two organizations working together, growing stronger as the word gets out, we will soon be free of the great squirrel menace! Maybe we can get together and go take care of that Secret Squirrel Training Facility I found last year!  Thank you Kira for thinking of me!

The Wednesday Howl (Talented dog)

 The Wednesday Howl

Talented Dog

A local business was looking for office help. They put a sign in the window, stating the following: “HELP WANTED. Must be able to type, must be good with a computer and must be bilingual. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.”

A short time afterwards, a dog trotted up to the window, saw the sign and went inside. He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail, then walked over to the sign, looked at it and whined.

Getting the idea, the receptionist got the office manager. The office manager looked at the dog and was surprised, to say the least. However, the dog looked determined, so he lead him into the office. Inside, the dog jumped up on the chair and stared at the manager.

The manager said “I can’t hire you. The sign says you have to be able to type.” The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded to type out a perfect letter. He took out the page and trotted over to the manager and gave it to him, then jumped back on the chair.

The manager was stunned, but then told the dog “the sign says you have to be good with a computer.” The dog jumped down again and went to the computer. The dog proceeded to enter and execute a perfect program, that worked flawlessly the first time.

By this time the manager was totally dumb-founded! He looked at the dog and said “I realize that you are a very intelligent dog and have some interesting abilities. However, I *still* can’t give you the job.”

The dog jumped down and went to a copy of the sign and put his paw on the sentences that told about being an Equal Opportunity Employer. The manager said “yes, but the sign *also* says that you have to be bilingual.”

The dog looked at the manager calmly and said, “Meow!”

The Wednesday Howl (Seeing Eye Dog)

The Wednesday Howl

Seeing Eye Dog

Two men are walking their dogs, a poodle and a german shepard. They decide they’d like to go into a bar for a drink. “But we can’t bring out dogs into that bar,” says the poodle’s human. “Hey, no problem,” says the german shepard’s owner. “Just watch this.” He pulls out a pair of sunglasses and walks into the bar. “Hey, no dogs!” yells the bartender. “But this is a seeing eye dog,” says the german shepard’s human. The bartender apologizes and shows them to a chair. So, the poodle owner decides to follow suit, whips out his sunglasses, and walks into the bar. “Hey, no dogs!” yells the bartender. “But this is a seeing eye dog,” says the poodle’s human. The bartender objects, “Hey, poodles can’t be seeing eye dogs!” The poodle owner gasps, “Poodle? They told me they were giving me a german shepard!”

Honesty is the best policy

I got tagged by Daisy to do a meme! It is called Honest Scrap and  I must tell ten honest things about me. So here goes:

1: I’m cute. Not bragging, mom said so!

2. I LOVE snacks and treats. Too much. Mom has cut back on the yummies.

3. My papers say I’m a Yorkie, so you might think I weigh in at 7 lbs. or there abouts. Not so, I weigh 23 pounds.

4. I am a good poser for pictures, but Riley is not. So I have to be good for an extra long time while mom and dad get Riley positioned. It happened for my Christmas pictures and it happened today for our Valentine’s pictures.

5. I can hear snack paper rattling form a long way off.

6. I still sneak around and drink some of mom’s coffee if she doesn’t pick it up and take it with her.

7. Mom had to put a cat door in the back bathroom door to keep me away from the tootsie rolls in the cat box. However, Riley can get through that cat door! 🙂 So mom had to buy a kitty litter box with extra tall sides.

8. My back itches all the time.

9. Dad is usually here but on the rare occasion that he isn’t I get to sleep with mom! Up on the bed!

10. Walkies are a lot of fun and I love them. I especially like walkies when mom and dad take me to the park or lake or somewhere where there is a lot of extra pee mail to read!

I’ve seen this meme a lot and a lot of my bloggie friends have already done it. If you haven’t now is your chance! If you decide to do it please let me know so I can go read it!
